welcome to our fourth space
We exist to preserve and celebrate the value of third spaces, it’s just that Our Third Space was booked, so we decided to build our own.
So you might be wondering “How many spaces of existence are you supposed to make time for??? “
Yeah, valid question. Let’s break it down.
Your first space is home. Your second is work. And your third? That’s where community happens—it’s your favorite cafés, bookstores, and barbershops. The places where neighbors gather, linger, and share experiences.
But while our third space helps us find community, Our Fourth Space is about building it.
We exist to preserve and celebrate the value of third spaces—places where neighbors come together and relationships flourish. Our mission is to revive the spirit of neighborly connection and help small businesses position themselves as essential hubs of collaboration.
Through thoughtful branding and design, ideas flow, bonds are built, and the fabric of our neighborhoods deepen one interaction at a time.
By nurturing these spaces, we’re shaping a future where Main Street becomes a source of collective strength and support.

Howdy Neighbor! I’m lex.
A creative human with a penchant for the simple joys in life: Reading, video games & eating Fig Newtons (not sponsored…………….. unless).
Reading allows me to escape the bleak reality we’ve inherited from our ancestors, & Fig Newtons allow me to escape the profound grieving that comes after I finish reading a great story.
To me, there is no problem in this world that a good spreadsheet can’t fix (except for the crushing weight of stress caused by student loans and the feeling I’ll never retire).
I am currently living in Tokyo Japan, on Yokota Air Force Base as a military spouse and maintaining professional credentials while living overseas has been enough of a headache to make me a hashtag iservetoo girly.
Here especially for the girls, the gays, the theys, & the mentally ill entrepreneurs. Your identity is welcome here.
Our Fourth Space is a love letter to business owners who wish they could opt out of rise and grind culture & feel allowed to place their humanity ahead of their ability to produce and create capital.
I was put probably just put on this planet to maliciously comply with the rules of capitalism and it brings me an unwavering sense of joy.
Whether it’s getting married for federal pell grants to afford college tuition, being sent to collections over an overdue gym membership of $9.99, or role playing as a landlord or supervisor for my friends who are also just trying to make it through…
I’m here for you and your business too, but we are gonna have a real fun-against-the-grain- time doing it.
